As wife and caregiver to a 100% disable veteran, am I qualified for caregiver at home compensation?

A1:  Post 9/11 vet = yes.  Pre 9/11 vet = no.  In other wards if he did not serve in Iraq/Afganistan the answer is no.  (JM)  12/7/16

A2:  I urge you call care givers at 1-877-222-8387.  They should be able to give you all the correct answers to any questions that you might have.
Luck to you and your man.  (JK)  12/7/16

A3:  Yes, We get an extra $200.00 per month.  (LT)  12/7/16

-Monthly stipend
-Travel expenses (including lodging and per diem while accompanying Veterans undergoing care)
-Access to health care insurance (if the Caregiver is not already entitled to care or services under a health care plan)
-Mental health services and counseling
-Comprehensive VA Caregiver training provided by Easter Seals
